Molecular Lab
The molecular lab is a large facility with four work stations, four thermal cyclers, a Perkin-Elmer automated workstation, and all of the other necessary equipment for phylogenetic and population genetic studies.
Vertebrate Museum
The vertebrate museum contains nearly 100,000 specimens of fish, nearly 15,000 reptile and amphibian species, as well as nearly 1,000 specimens of birds and mammals. We also possess a large natural history library with nearly 10,000 reprints and books on fishes, reptiles, and amphibians courtesy of the generous donations of Dr. Harold Dundee (Tulane) and Dr. David Nieland (LSU). The museum facilities were recently renovated with financial support from the Coypu foundation. Museum photos courtesy of Randy Bergeron (Southeastern Louisiana University).
